Early Valentine's Day.
Since I work a crazy schedule, Rhett and I have decided to have Valentine's Day today. So, since it's my day off, I'm getting the food all ready. I might not enjoy cooking as much, but I do enjoy taking pictures of it :)
On the menu tonight:
- Chicken with black beans and rice
- Sweet potato mashed potatoes
- Rosemary bread with olive oil
- Apple pie w/ vanilla ice cream

the hardest thing.
On one side there's life--vibrant, bubbly, carefree. But it's all a blur. On the other side of the line there's, well, death - eternity. And if we know in our hearts what's ahead, what's promised, even that 'dark hour' can be beautiful.
I just wish I could get to that place.
I have the hardest time dealing with death. I'm a Christian, so I know what's going on. I know my loved ones are in a better place, where there's no more suffering. Yes, they are happy now. And yet, the loss is unbearable for me.
