christmas baking.

I'm not much of a baker...or a cook, for that matter.

But, i decided to put things I got from the wedding to good use! Plus, it's Christmas..so baking is essentially a tradition!

It was fun! Still, there are drawbacks to this baking thing:
1. My stomach hurts from trying the sweets.
2. I didn't taste the last ones because my stomach hurts.
3. The kitchen is a mess.
4. And, phew! I'm tired.

these peppermint whoopie pies are mmm!

ugh..messy kitchen. i'll deal with it tomorrow...maybe.

christmas flower.

around the house

we have lots of greens and yellows everywhere. i don't know how that ended up happening.

This is Tobias' favorite toy. And I totally understand how it feels.

And finally, we have a cat, too. Her name is Gus-Gus, but we usually just call her cat.

one sick puppy.

Our little Tobias was really sick and we were so afraid he wasn't going to make it. But, even surprising the doctors, he made a one day recovery! I love my 'bias! Yay for having him in our lives!
silly dog.

Cheesy Quotes

I'm not one for cheesy quotes. I cringe when I hear phrases like "There's more fish in the sea" and "Live each day as if it were your last".

But, cheesy as it is, I was watching Wynonna Judd in an interview today--not even sure she's a Christian--but I still learned something from her. She said, "I used to wake up and say, 'Oh, God. It's morning'. Now, I wake up and say, 'Good Morning, God!'"

Right now, I'm working through the former. But, I now have hope that things can get better. And it's partially up to me.

So after a rough day, I think I'm ready to find my way to saying 'Good Morning, God', knowing it's a long road ahead.

And, I'll end by saying just one cheesy quote I found in hopes it finds someone else:

"Act like you already are the person you want to become."
